The Artist Files Revealed: Online Directory project, proposed in 2005 and launched in 2010, was created as a digital resource for cultural institutions to provide information about their collections of artist files and to facilitate users’ discovery and use of those resources.

The Artist Files SIG determined that the resource could not be sustained on its old publishing platform, a third-party site using the Tiki Wiki software. Work is underway to migrate the data to a new home hosted by ARLIS/NA.
